"Rented a van from the B&Q Peckham…"
Rented a van from the B&Q Peckham location. Van was damaged so much so that the passenger door was catching on wing panel. Van was a mess. Cardboard inside. Bottle of water, receipts etc.
Van returned and Hertz then had the nerve to charge me 90£ for cleaning the vehicle. It was given to me in a state. It's not my job to clean it. They even discovered cigarretes - I don't smoke!
Headache of a company. Would avoid like others have said. I wish I had seen the reviews earlier.

"Not available 24/7 per advert"
Used Hertz 24/7 app to rent a van for 11 hours. Pick up was behind locked gates owned by a storage company. Rental starts at 8am but gates don’t open until 09:30. Rental ends at 19:00 but gates for storage company to lock up close at 16:30. Lost 4 hours so had to move bits in my car. Emailed 4 times with no response

"Poor Customer Service!!"
Do not use this company as their customer service is poor to say the least. They took prepayment for the vehicle but are refusing to pay the £120 back advising it’s the bank that have got my money. Crazy!!

"Poor condition van, confusing deposit scheme, so-so customer service"
The van arrived in terrible condition, had to spend 25 minutes of my booked time slot checking through the 'condition report' as half of the damages weren't included in the report.
If you have any queries, the operators give you very mixed and confusing information regarding your deposit etc. AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE.

"IKEA partner Hertz certainly worst choice for customers"
Reserved a van for IKEA shopping for 13:45, which has been confirmed, but access code was never texted, checking in the mobile app displayed "account suspended, call customer service" and they told me the address check failed. No SMS sent by Hertz, one hour after begin of reserved period an email arrived stating that I will be charged because I should have cancelled the reservation 6 hours before.
Called Hertz again and requested an email confirmation that I did not cancel the reservation, answer: they can (or will) not do this. My address is in the election register, on my driving license, on government and council documents, and never ever failed a verification other than Hertz; they are incompetent with dodged business processes, and let you stand with your IKEA shopping in front of the store without even texting cancellation notice.
Can you find a worse rental operator?

"Dimensions of van incorrect"
Dimensions of van incorrect, so couldn't fit materials I bought inside. Called to explain, and after waiting 20 mins to speak to someone I was told I should have rented the bigger van (there isn't one at my location) and that they would charge me an extra hour because I didn't call 15 mins earlier... so dumb. I used the van for 90 mins and was charged for 4 hours, even thought the app said 2.5 hours. Complete joke of a system and the Customer Service person I spoke to was so arrogant and unhelpful.

"Booking cancelled last minute!"
Had my booking cancelled 20 minutes before I was scheduled to pick the van up. Was notified by email, not even text. No explanation for the cancellation so I’ve had to hire a more expensive vehicle last minute, awful service, stay away

"I made reservations yesturday around…"
I made reservations yesturday around 7pm. I needed van from today 6am, is 9am now I still not get confirmation and code. I just get email yesterday that they have to verify my document. I called to customer service and they said that reservation is declined. Veery poor quality service, I just wested my time!!

"A few minor bumps in the road…"
A few minor bumps in the road but over all a great experience. Finding the fuel card pin was a faff but once I'd downloaded the app everything went much smoother.
Even the help offered 2 hours later when I realised I'd left my house key in the van was brilliant. I called and they remotely opened the van so I could retrieve my keys.
Was dubious about using the 24/7 service but after a large furniture store couldn't deliver (but I could collect) I was left with little choice. 109 miles driven and 4.5 hours of rental for £90. Great service and would use again.

"Save your money"
Took over £200 pounds off us to rent a van for less than a day. Charged us £99.15 and never gave the £110 back. When speaking to the customer service agent they said they have never seen the money and refusing to pay it back. Worse experience of my life and disgusting that they refuse to pay you back what's owed. Don't use this company!!!!

"Rental of van cancelled 12 minutes…"
Rental of van cancelled 12 minutes before due to pick it up the message stated customer services would contact me shortly with an alternative. They didn't and after over 30minutes of listening to inane music somebody answered to tell me the van was no longer available and wouldn't be for the immediate future.
This ruined the whole day of plans.
Then received an email saying I had cancelled and would be liable for the rental cost.
Hertz your a complete joke if I don't get my money back see you in court

"This company used to be good, now they are rubbish"
This company used to be good. Used their van hire a few times with no issues whatsoever. However this time I had an absolute nightmare. I've had my licence for well over 12+ years and have stayed at my current address for 6 years. Everything is clean - but they said my reservation got declined as they couldn't verify my identity! Tried 3 times, spoke to them on the phone, tried a different address, different email, different number and no resolution, just straight decline when absolutely nothing in my details has changed at all. Wont be using these clowns again

WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY
I wanted to simply hire a van for a couple of hours at a local B&Q, one week later I am still trying to register. Made several online attempts, tried to call customers services, sent emails.... and nothing. Obviously not interested in attracting new customers. If that is the case then please do the decent thing and say that you are not accepting new customers on your website, rather than making me waste several hours of my time.

"Easily the worst rental company"
I wish I'd read the reviews before booking with these clowns.

I booked a van only to receive an email the next day saying I'd cancelled the booking. Upon speaking to the most hopeless customer assistant (Jane) it transpired the vehicle was no longer available, no reason offered why. Rather than try to help me secure another vehicle or let me speak to amanager hopeless Jane showed how little she cared about customers and kro saying there's nothing she could do. I've never dealt with such a poor company and now have the struggle of getting back the £103 they've taken from my bank account for a van they've cancelled. YOUVE BEEN WARNED, AVOID AT ALL COSTS
